Dental specialists complete two to six extra years of training after dental school and usually work on referral from a general dentist, although most accept patients who call directly. Orthodontists straighten teeth with braces and clear aligners; endodontists handle root canals; periodontists treat gum disease and place implants; oral and maxillofacial surgeons extract wisdom teeth, place implants and do jaw surgery, often under IV sedation; prosthodontists rebuild smiles with crowns, bridges and dentures; denture centers focus on full and partial dentures, relines and repairs. Sedation and hospital dentists serve anxious patients and people with special needs, while TMJ and sleep-apnea dentists make oral appliances for jaw pain and snoring.

Houston is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Traffic in Houston peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Dr. Mitchell and his team (Leah, Ella, Emma & Oly) were all very kind, professional and caring. Since I made my appointment with Leah, everything went smooth and great. Dr. Mitchell's care, kindness and patience performing his job is remarkable. He helped me to cope with my nervousness in an empathetic and caring way. He was very patience and professional by working with my stubborn tooth. I am very grateful for all his attentions. Thank you!

Dr. Bryan Mitchell and the entire team at Museum District Endodontics were outstanding! From the moment I walked in, I was treated with kindness, professionalism, and genuine care. Dr. Mitchell took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all of my questions, and made me feel completely at ease throughout the procedure. What could have been a stressful experience turned out to be smooth, comfortable, and virtually pain-free. The staff was friendly, efficient, and attentive, and the office was welcoming and well-organized. I am truly grateful for the excellent care I received and highly recommend Dr. Mitchell and Museum District Endodontics to anyone in need of endodontic treatment. Thank you for making such a difficult procedure a positive experience!

Excellent experience!! I was referred to Dr. Mitchell from my regular dentist for a very complicated root canal case. He had to split my treatment into 2 visits, but he was able to successfully complete the job. He is extremely knowledgeable and makes you feel comfortable during the procedures. I literally had no pain other than the numbing shots at the beginning β and even those werenβt too bad. My favorite thing is he explains everything to you after the procedure and answers all questions. I would 100% recommend this practice to friends and family.

I recently visited Museum District Endodontics in Houston after experiencing tooth pain that was likely caused by years of clenching and grinding my teeth at night. While I may still need a root canal in the future, I wanted to address the underlying TMJ issues contributing to the problem. Dr. Mitchell recommended EmFace, a non-invasive treatment they offer for TMJ relief and jaw muscle tension. I had heard about EmFace before but never realized I might be a good candidate for it. The entire experience was excellent from start to finish. After completing paperwork, I changed into a disposable gown and began the treatment. The session lasted about 20 minutes and was surprisingly relaxing. There was no pain at all... just a warm sensation and a gentle pulling feeling in my jaw muscles as the treatment worked. What impressed me most was that I noticed a difference after just one session. My jaw felt more relaxed, and I was more aware of the tension I typically carry from nighttime clenching. If youβre looking for an endodontist in Houston, need root canal treatment, struggle with TMJ symptoms, jaw pain, teeth grinding, or clenching, I highly recommend Museum District Endodontics. D

Highly recommend Dr. Mitchell if youβre looking for a trustworthy endodontist in the Museum District of Houston, TX. His office is extremely clean, modern, and professional, and the staff made the entire experience comfortable from start to finish. Dr. Mitchell took time to thoroughly review my dental scans, explain the condition of my tooth roots, and discuss a conservative treatment plan instead of pushing unnecessary procedures. You can tell he genuinely cares about patient health and long-term dental care. If youβre dealing with tooth pain, cracked teeth, deep decay, grinding damage, or think you may need a root canal specialist in Houston, I absolutely recommend Dr. Mitchell and his team.
